Paint, Paint, Paint

When I began painting, an invasive thought that came to my mind was how I didn't want to ruin the painting I make with bad strokes. It takes a lot of bad paintings to get over that feeling or it may solidify that feeling in yourself. One of the keys to making my paintings better (albeit, still amateurish) was taking a philosophy of no fear in the stroke I make. Mistakes happen, especially when you just finished that beautiful sky, with the billowy clouds and then bam, you put the foreground on like a fifth grader on a candy rush. Let it happen, you won't get better if the mistakes don't happen and believe me, they will happen. How you recover from those mistakes will only come from mistakes happening, mistakes won't happen without you brandishing your brush, and you won't paint a painting if you don't lay those strokes, you are worried about ruining.
