As a child, I grew up between Asheville, North Carolina and Corning, New York. Following my graduation from high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Army. During my service, I attended the United States Army Medical and Optical School, where I trained in the repair of medical equipment and earned certification as a medical equipment repairer. I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, with temporary assignments in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Honduras.

After completing my military service, I relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I worked as a field service engineer with Patterson Dental Supply, Inc. and Toshiba America Medical Systems. In 2009, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Technical University. I later moved to Maybrook, New York in 2016 and was employed with Steris Applied Sterilization Technologies from 2018 to 2025.

It was only later in life that I discovered my passion for painting. Unlike many artists, I did not grow up immersed in art and, in fact, often shied away from it. Although I held an early interest in architecture during high school, I pursued few creative outlets at the time. I began painting in 2023.

My work is distinguished by its striking use of color and contrast. With expressive brushwork and layered patterns, my paintings reflect both personal experience and an intuitive dialogue with the traditions of the old masters. A defining element of my practice is its sense of movement and transformation—shifting palettes, dynamic compositions, and an underlying optimism that gestures toward the possibility of a brighter future.
